Vicentico Valdés (1919-1995) was a Cuban singer, a friend of singer Alfredito Valdés. He also led the Sonora Matancera orchestra, the late Bobby Valentín. He later led his own orchestra.
He was called "Las Voces del Siglo" (The Voices of the Century) for his soft, deep timbre, ideal for romantic boleros.
He died on June 26, 1995, in New York City of a heart attack at the age of 74.
His work remains classic in Latin American music of the 1940s–1960s.
