Zu - Ferrum Sidereum (2026) [Hi-Res]

The Italian avant-garde trio ZU has released an ambitious instrumental double album titled "Ferrum Sidereum," inspired by the mystical symbolism of meteoric iron. The production of this 80-minute epic spanned over a year in Bologna and marked the band's first collaboration with an outside producer, the award-winning sound engineer Marc Urselli. The musical material deliberately ignores contemporary commercial formats, offering a sophisticated blend of progressive rock, industrial, metal, and jazz. The record demonstrates the collective's evolution from its early works and landmark collaboration with Mike Patton toward the creation of a multi-layered, immersive soundscape that unites aggressive energy with intellectual depth.
