Winged Wheel, a collective of geographically dispersed musicians from prominent projects (including Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth), has evolved from a remote file-sharing experiment into a cohesive unit. Their third album, Desert So Green, recorded in Chicago in 2025, marks a strategic shift from spontaneous jamming toward deliberate, refined compositions.
