Paul Ricci’s album "The Path" is an extensive multi-cultural project that took 29 years to complete. The recording features 17 collaborators from various nations, including renowned masters of jazz and world music. The core material originated from 1997 sessions and was finalized with additional recordings in 2021 following the artist's extended residency in Brazil. The album's musical concept is rooted in the synthesis of guitar improvisation and complex rhythmic traditions from Africa and South America, resulting in a transcontinental jazz tapestry.
