Accomplished Canadian, London-based artist, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and author Emm Gryner. She founded Dead Daisy Records, one of the first independent record labels in Canada, to support emerging artists. Emm started a metal band in 2024 called Ovary Axe, where she is the principal songwriter, bass player and vocalist.
Emm has collaborated with David Bowie, contributing vocals on tour and in the studio, and worked with Def Leppard on a reimagined version of “Pour Some Sugar On Me” featuring the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra based on her 2000 cover song.
Emm also co-created the first music video in space, a rendition of “Space Oddity” with astronaut Chris Hadfield aboard the International Space Station. Her latest album, *Business & Pleasure*, explores yacht rock with contributions from acclaimed Nashville musicians. Her best-selling book is "The Healing Power of SInging" (2021, ECW Press).
