Dave Keller - La Brea (2025)

Dave Keller plays guitar, vibes and uses his folksy voice well on this album with Kevin Barry/g, Jesse Williams/b, Marco Giovino/dr and Tom West/org-p. There’s an avuncular calm to Keller’s delivery, making one feel of a John Hiatt or Jim Croce on pieces like “I Could Fall” and “Your Touch”. A hint of the minstrel’d Van Morrison ooze out on ”Singin’ In The Shower” and “Different Than I Planned” with the music flowing like a mellow river.~ By George W. Harris
