Deep, poetic and artistic are just some of the ways to describe Canadian singer/songwriter Daniela Nardi’s new album, The Rose Tattoo. This album takes a deeper look into life and its meaning and incorporates words and voices outside of her own including Martin Luther King’s famous speech. The creative songs on the album tend to pose as mellow and sweet but Nardi combines her musical and vocal skill to deliver powerful content.
The Rose Tattoo is Nardi’s second album and she is accompanied by talented musicians in this work including Rich Brown, Colleen Allen, Greg Kavanagh and Rakesh Tawari. Nardi does most of the programming her self as well as the piano and keyboards. She studied in Toronto at the Royal Conservatory and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in music. Nardi has performed in many notable Toronto clubs as well as overseas, including a well attended concert of over 100,000 in Indonesia. This powerful album is a good fit for those looking to find a passionate artist with a message.
Featuring: Greg Kavanaugh (guitars), George Koller (bass), Rich brown (bass), Davide Direnzo (drums), Mel M'Rabet (oud), Coleen Allen (sax).
