Born into a distinguished Budapest musical family that produced virtuosos like Georges Cziffra, Somora Tibor has been active as a soloist in Europe and the United States. This is his first solo album. Featuring a program that reflects the influence of Eastern European composers like Bartók, Dinik, and Kodály, Somora showcases a freedom of tone, rhythm, and agogic expression, embodied in the virtuosity of violin art. This album pays tribute to the great masters he esteems, including Heifetz, Oistrakh, and Gitlis, while also connecting his own soul, which resides in the violin, to the future.
