‘A Point Blank Dream’ is the first The Home Current (Martin Jensen) album since 2024's ‘Tales From The Leisure League’ (Woodford Halse).

Following years of intensive release schedules, Martin took the opportunity for a prolonged break from the studio, feeling it was the right time to re-energise by turning his focus to outdoor pursuits, including a keen eye for bird watching (Martin will gladly point out the difference between a Black Cap and a Marsh Tit while strolling in the fields and woodland of his adopted Luxembourg countryside).

This change of scenery brought new inspiration and gradually the idea for ‘A Point Blank Dream’ started to take shape. While Martin’s urban musical sensibilities remained intact, he decided to reinvent his normal working practices. Starting with a set of intriguing track titles, instead of the music, Martin relates how this invigorated his workflow:

“This created a new and exciting challenge where the track titles, which somehow read like the soundtrack to some kind of concrete inner-city alien gang thriller, held the key as to how the different tracks had to be tackled.”

So here we are, Martin is very much back with 12 tracks (and 2 bonus tracks) of vintage THC action, with no shortage of chunky melody lines, bass driven grooves and plenty of Martin's trademark twists and turns to get toes tapping and grey matter pondering.
