INPHLEX is an architect and composer (Bogotá, Colombia) who approaches music through an ethics of anonymity. The goal is the construction of rare atmospheres; the sonic criterion is rooted in harmony; and the spirit embraces the experimental, the eclectic, and the abstract. He describes his musical work through drawing, color, and texture: the automatic line, the warmth of wood, the depth of dark blue, and the greenness within.
Jardín I is a seven-track album that, although guided by minor chords, conveys a sense of luminosity. It sounds like wooden textures, like greenery tinged with deep blue hues. It is built from the interweaving of Latin–flamenco acoustic guitar, acoustic percussion, enveloping and melodic synthesizers, and a few lyrics.
Written in two stages, the project began in 2013, focused on developing, recording, and editing the musical idea using the acoustic guitar as its sole material. In 2025, with a broader understanding of production and arrangement, the work took a new direction through sound design decisions and the incorporation of electronic elements. Both digital and analog, to expand the guitar’s original space with melodies, atmospheres, and percussive layers.
Jardín I embodies a sonic research process: from production, it seeks to carry the acoustics of the guitar to levels of intensity, density, or timbral expansion. Through transformation or synthesis, in order to understand that material in a horizontal relationship with the electronic. In this sense, the album reveals a dual artistic condition: on one hand, an understanding of music through its emotional dimension in direct relation to the guitar; on the other, an expanded understanding derived from the bodily experience of electronic music in its full stylistic spectrum.
