Go Kurosawa, co-founder of Guruguru Brain and former member of Kikagaku Moyo, has released his debut solo album, soft shakes. Recorded in Rotterdam, the project emerged from a process of total creative freedom and a lack of formal planning. Moving away from his collaborative background, Kurosawa performed all instruments himself, prioritizing intuitive expression and the spontaneity of a solo jam session. The record captures a transitional period in the artist's life during his relocation from Europe to Japan, imbuing the music with a distinct sense of longing for home. soft shakes serves as a deeply personal narrative, offering listeners a meditative and atmospheric sonic journey.
