Toechter - Epic Wonder (2024) [Hi-Res]

The Berlin-based trio toechter has released their second album, "Epic Wonder," which merges classical string training with experimental indie pop and electronic processing of analog sound sources. The core of their work consists of violin, viola, cello, and vocals, transformed into intricate rhythmic and atmospheric structures. The album's concept centers on the universal interconnection of nature, the cosmos, and humanity, expressing a longing for empathy and kinship among all species. The musical tapestry ranges from Baroque motifs and club rhythms to ambient landscapes, exploring the potential of a string trio within the digital age. The project's visual identity was developed in collaboration with the emerging Finnish artist Aino Kontinen.
