Derek Hunter Wilson - Sculptures (2026)

Derek Hunter Wilson's album, SCULPTURES, is a conceptual work inspired by the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest and the artist's personal journey through grief and the passage of time. The musical foundation of the six long-form tracks consists of piano compositions and loops developed in collaboration with harpist Joshua Ward. The album’s atmosphere is described as timeless and melancholic, intertwining natural imagery with themes of systemic decay. A poetic tribute by Mathias Svalina underscores the mystical and surreal nature of the music, framing it as a descent into elemental, hidden depths beneath the ruins of the past.
