Toronto-based project LAMMPING presents a new album, crafted by Mikhail Galkin and Jay Anderson in collaboration with Drew Smith and Chris Cummings. Departing from their previous rockabilly-influenced sound, this release blends 1970s vocal harmonies with 1990s hip-hop rhythms and heavy psychedelia, resulting in a "sinking yacht rock" aesthetic. The music draws inspiration from classic vocal jazz and psychedelic pop, marking the project's evolution from a rock outfit into a conceptual production duo. The record integrates melancholic songwriting with experimental instrumental interludes, establishing a unique and emotionally focused sonic environment.
