Kristof Négrit’s debut album, État d’Âme, synthesizes jazz traditions and Creole culture by integrating Gwoka rhythms with the European jazz school. Performed by a multinational quartet, the record explores the musician’s personal history at the intersection of Caribbean and African influences. The work is characterized by emotional depth and a sophisticated combination of traditional percussion with modern instrumental arrangements.
