Tom Middleton is a Canadian pop artist who began his career with the band The Marquis and achieved prominence in the 1970s. Under Columbia Records, he released two albums characterized by a soft pop sound with rock and folk influences, attaining moderate success on national charts with compositions by Todd Rundgren and Paul Davis. Due to the lack of a commercial breakthrough in the United States and the termination of his recording contract in 1976, the artist withdrew from the professional music industry. Subsequently, Middleton pursued a long-term career with Canada Post, making only sporadic appearances at regional jazz and blues festivals.
