The Charm of Every Season is Will Goble’s third full Length release as a leader. Featuring returning collaborators Dave Potter and Gregory Tardy on Drums and Tenor Saxophone respectively, this concise collection of 7 songs avoids unnecessary complexity while covering a range of popular songs of the 20th century, original music, hymns, and of course, the Blues.

Album highlights include two guest appearances from Tenor Saxophonist Miguel Alvarado, who joins as Tardy’s counterpart on Goble’s unusual take on “Bag’s Groove” and the original “Poor Habits, Good Weather.” A soulful rendition of the hymn “By and By” and Tardy’s warm clarinet sound on Willie Nelson’s “Buddy” to close the album stand out as well. The mission is clear: swing, groove, and connect with anyone who lends an ear.
