The Bellamy Brothers are defined by "Let Your Love Flow," the easy-rolling, soft rock classic that topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 1976. At the time, the duo were aligned with the sunbleached sound that became known as yacht rock but instead of moving in a pop direction, the Bellamy Brothers positioned themselves as a mellow country-pop act beginning with the breezy island vibes of "If I Said You Have a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me." That song topped the Billboard Country chart in 1979, opening up a string of Top Ten hits that ran into 1990, a run that featured nine additional number one hits including "Sugar Daddy," "Dancin' Cowboys," "Do You Love as Good as You Look," "For All the Wrong Reasons," and "Redneck Girl." Throughout this period, the Bellamys would dabble in styles outside of country music, dressing their good-time country-pop with elements of disco, rock, reggae, and island music, even singing a tongue-in-cheek "Country Rap" in 1987. This low-key sense of adventure persisted in the Bellamy Brothers even after they stopped having hits in the early 1900s. The pair continued to play live and record, seizing such unexpected opportunities as re-recording their classic hits with an Austrian schlager DJ called DJ Otzi and collaborating with Swiss rocker Gola on a new version of "Let Your Love Flow" in 2010. Throughout it all, the Bellamy Brothers maintained a connection to their breezy country-pop roots, releasing such songs as "Boobs" in 2014 and the John Anderson duet "No Country Music for Old Men" in 2020.
