Savalan - Savalan (2026)

The event held at Melahuset features the release of Savalan’s new self-titled album alongside a book launch by musician and author Tebrizli Memmed Rza. The album utilizes Azerbaijani Mugham and Sufi texts from the 13th to 16th centuries as its foundation, incorporating a diverse ensemble of international musicians to bridge Eastern and Western traditions. Simultaneously, Memmed Rza introduces his novel, "Steps Toward Light," which explores themes of cultural identity, the right to education, and political resistance in South Azerbaijan. The collaboration highlights a synthesis of traditional ethnic heritage and modern global arrangements.
