LET US THE FLEETING HOURS ENJOY! was inspired by the at-home musical traditions documented in 18th and 19th-century fiction, but it features works beyond Jane Austen’s heavily researched library.

Supported by a fortepianist, a harpist, and three other singers, Molly Fillmore’s lyrical mezzo-soprano transports listeners to the living rooms of middle and upper-class Regency women with works by composers from socialite Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire, to Josef Haydn. The result is an exhilarating hour of refinement, timeless beauty, and — perhaps most of all — unbridled cheer.
