Pefkin is the solo project of Scottish musician Gayle Brogan, founded in 2000. The name arose from a humorous phonetic misreading of Nico's real name, Christa Päffgen. Over twenty years, Gayle has released fourteen full-length albums on independent labels and participates in several other projects. The anniversary release includes a lathe-cut single featuring two John Clare poems set to music, alongside a subjective best-of compilation of her most accessible shorter songs.
