KINACT - Kinshasa In Action (2026) [Hi-Res]

The debut album by the Congolese collective KINACT, Kinshasa in Action, presents a radical synthesis of industrial noise, ritual performance, and social activism. Recorded at the Nyege Nyege studio, the material blends the sounds of construction tools—such as drills and saws—with homemade xylophones and drums crafted from recycled materials. The music explores post-colonial identity and environmental issues through the embodiment of mythic avatars. This work reimagines traditional Congolese rhythms, embedding them within the context of avant-garde noise art and urban trance.
