Even though I was sick, this rock-tinged classic jazz recording had me dancing around my apartment. The first two tunes virtually fly off the CD before things calm down. The Dobrogosz Quartet may not be saying a lot that’s new, but their high energy is infectious. And with song titles like “Elvis” and “Odor of Love” you know there’s fun ahead. Playing pianist Steve Dobrogosz’s tunes in this Swedish group are Dave Wilczewski, sax, bassist Olle Steinholtz and drummer Magnus Ostrom.
