Amalie Dahl’s Dafnie - Live at Moldejazz (2026) [Hi-Res]

Danish saxophonist Amalie Dahl has introduced a new large-scale project, Dafnie EXTENDED, expanding her original quintet into a 12-piece ensemble. The album Live at Moldejazz showcases a synthesis of avant-garde free jazz, European modernism, and powerful rhythmic structures. The music is characterized by a combination of controlled chaos, profound improvisation, and a rich tonal palette that includes accordion, synthesizers, and a double rhythm section. The compositions reflect the influence of both 1960s radical jazz in the vein of John Coltrane and the classical big band traditions of Sun Ra and Count Basie.
