Zosha Warpeha, Mariel Terán - Orbweaver (2025) [Hi-Res]

The album Orbweaver is a collaborative project by Zosha Warpeha and Mariel Terán, featuring a series of meditative improvisations on instruments with deep folkloric roots: the Norwegian Hardanger d’amore fiddle and various indigenous Andean flutes. The artists employ a deconstructivist approach, focusing on tactile sounds, natural textures, and organic elements. Despite their profound connection to Norwegian and Andean traditions, the creators reject rigid preservationism in favor of intuitive creativity and personal expression. The music is characterized by its spaciousness, the use of vocal drones, and mythological imagery, symbolizing a living, evolving heritage.
