Go Hirano's album Corridor of Daylights (2004) is a minimalist masterpiece blending fragile piano melodies, melodica, and natural field recordings. Distinct from the avant-garde and high-energy releases typical of the P.S.F. label, Hirano’s music focuses on contemplativeness, simplicity, and intimacy, evoking the aesthetics of Erik Satie and Japanese ambient music. The artist intentionally moved away from technical perfection and the rigid structures of jazz and classical music in favor of "unadorned expression." The album marks the culmination of Hirano's evolution from experimental dance scores and psychedelic rock to the creation of elegant sonic sketches. The Black Editions reissue presents this work on vinyl for the first time with enhanced deluxe packaging.
