The album "BODY SOUND" is the result of an improvisational collaboration between Whitney Johnson, Lia Kohl, and Macie Stewart, utilizing string instruments, vocals, and analog tape. The central concept of the work is the exploration of physical and emotional space as a distinct musical instrument. With the assistance of producer Dave Vettraino, the trio transformed spontaneous sessions into complex compositions through reel-to-reel tape manipulations. The album's sound merges elements of avant-garde drone, experimental folk, and academic minimalism. Inspired by the ideas of Yoko Ono, the record’s structure creates an intimate and texturally rich sonic environment that bridges abstract exploration with deep emotional resonance.
