GANGAR - Dreng (2026)

The Norwegian band Gangar has announced the release of their second album, "Dreng," scheduled for April 10, 2026. The ensemble reimagines Norwegian musical folklore through the lens of heavy rock, prog-metal, and hard rock, utilizing the traditional Hardanger fiddle as the lead instrument. In contrast to their debut work, the new album focuses on employing complex studio production techniques and features a wide array of guest musicians playing authentic folk instruments. The project demonstrates the band's evolution from raw live energy toward an ambitious experimental sound that pushes the boundaries of contemporary folk-rock.
