Valley Hi is a solo album by British musician Ian Matthews, released in 1973 on Elektra Records.
Produced by former Monkees member Michael Nesmith, it is one of the most significant works in the country rock genre. The album cemented Matthews's transition from British folk (Fairport Convention) to a Californian sound.

The Eagles' version of "Seven Bridges Road" from this album so impressed them that they almost completely copied its vocal arrangement for their 1980 hit.
Three songs ("Keep on Sailing," "Old Man at the Mill," and "Save Your Sorrows") were originally intended for the band's second album, Plainsong, which was never released. Rolling Stone magazine included Valley Hi in its list of 10 forgotten folk albums of the 70s that are worth hearing.
