Going Places is a studio album by British composer and conductor Ron Goodwin, recorded with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (NZSO) and released in 1978.
The album is a collection of popular melodies in the style of light classical and easy-listening pop music, arranged into a "world tour." For the album's high sales (over two million copies), EMI New Zealand awarded Goodwin a platinum disc.
His collaboration with the NZSO was a significant milestone in Goodwin's career. Following the success of Going Places, he continued to work with the orchestra, writing "New Zealand Suite" in 1983, which became his gift to the people of New Zealand.
