Nat Reeves - Now In Time (2026)

Bassist Nat Reeves has a wonderful group here – an all-star lineup that features Eric Alexander on tenor, Steve Davis on trombone, Eddie Henderson on trumpet, Orrin Evans on piano, and Jeff Tain Watts on drums – all players who make for some mighty sharp energy throughout! Nat penned a few original tunes for the set, and the other numbers are a nice mix of tunes that go beyond the obvious, and really open up the spirit of the set – mostly delivered in a way that's relatively tight, but with more than enough room for some key solos! The set has a nicely compact take on "The Creator Has A Master Plan", plus tunes that include "Dave's System", "Appointment In Ghana", "Blue Ridge", "Katea's Dance", "Samba D'Blue", "Waltz For Ellis", and "Sounds Of The Flying Pygmies".
