Recorded over 5 days at Heriot Toun studio in the Scottish Borders, Old Spot refine and distill their unique approach to Appalachian old-time, whilst reaching back across the Atlantic to Irish, English and wider European traditions. The impressionistic and exploratory lens of their initial recordings has been tuned into sharp focus, as Joe and Rowan use their experience of traditional musics to inform and shape a new expression of American folk music.
