Bottle Blonde is the debut full-length album from Canadian singer-songwriter Cate Canning, released independently on 1 May 2026. The record's journey was anything but straightforward: after years of solitary writing in London, Canning relocated to Nashville to record with producer Andrew Pacheco — only to scrap the finished sessions and start over, convinced the songs weren't "silly enough" to represent who she truly was.
Rebuilding from scratch with her closest creative circle — Maisie Peters, Thomas Daniels, Madison Kozak, Rory Adams, and Grammy-winning Taylor Swift collaborator Liz Rose — Canning arrived at twelve tracks that marry the confessional intimacy of her early EPs with the glittering energy of country-disco and arena pop. The album's title is a deliberate self-portrait: Canning has been a bottle blonde since the age of sixteen and regards the look as a persona that unlocks the most unguarded, theatrical side of her personality.
Throughout, the record maps the distance between the introverted balladeer who broke through on TikTok and a full-blown country showgirl comfortable commanding a stage.
