RUNKUS is a distinctive voice in contemporary reggae, operating at the intersection of music and visual art. Over a decade-long career, he has received a MOBO Award and earned nominations for the GRAMMY, Juno, and Ivor Novello Awards. His new album SUPERNOVA is a collaborative project with Bahamian artist Tavares Strachan (MacArthur Genius Prize laureate), continuing the tradition of celebrated artist–musician partnerships. The album features Sean Paul and Peter Tosh. Musically, it brings together roots reggae, dancehall energy, and philosophical lyricism into a unified statement about personal transformation and the inevitability of rebirth.
