Bill Wyman and Demon Music are proud to present "Treasury," a new seven-CD collector's edition celebrating the legendary British musician's solo career.
The box set includes six of Bill's solo albums, recorded over half a century, beginning in 1974. The first six discs feature bonus tracks: single mixes and demos. The final, seventh disc is a true exclusive: 12 previously unreleased demos of songs Bill wrote over the years but kept hidden until now.
The first two discs feature "Monkey Grip" (1974) and "Stone Alone" (1976), originally released on Rolling Stones Records. The recordings featured a stunning cast of Wyman's all-star friends: Lowell George, Dr. John, Joe Walsh, Van Morrison, The Pointer Sisters, Danny Kortchmar, Dallas Taylor, Leon Russell, Bob Welsh, and Nicky Hopkins. The 1981 self-titled album "Bill Wyman" yielded the Top 40 hits "(Si Si) Je Suis Un Rock Star" and "A New Fashion." A fourth album, "Stuff," featuring Chuck Leavell and Ray Cooper, was released in 1992 and initially only released in Japan.
On the 2015 album "Back To Basics," Bill collaborated with Guy Fletcher and Robbie Mackintosh. Both musicians returned to the studio for the 2024 album "Drive My Car," where Andy Fairweather-Low joined Wyman's list of great collaborators. In addition to 107 music tracks, the "Treasury" edition includes lyrics to all the "new" songs from the seventh disc, rare footage from Bill's personal archive, and a fresh interview. The musician discussed his solo career with journalist and radio host Paul Sexton, who has interviewed him for decades. Sexton, incidentally, is a renowned Stones biographer and the author of "Charlie's Good Tonight," the official biography of Charlie Watts.
