"Green Grapes" is a fascinating snapshot of the Italian underground scene just before the great "Progressive Explosion" of 1972. It’s a track that leans heavily into the Psych-Pop and Early Hard Rock aesthetic of the late 60s. Unlike their later, more complex metaphysical explorations, "Green Grapes" features English lyrics—a common tactic for Italian bands of that era who were aiming for international appeal or simply paying homage to their London-based idols.

The track is driven by a catchy, fuzzy guitar riff and, of course, the ever-present, swirling Hammond organ that would become the band's trademark. It’s a high-energy, rhythmic number that captures the feeling of a smoke-filled club in Turin. It’s raw, slightly unpolished, and filled with the kind of infectious "swing" that defined the transition from the beat era to the heavy rock movement.
