On May 8, 2026, the Music Maker Foundation will release Earl “Guitar” Williams’ new album, The Soul King of Bessemer, AL. This record, marking the artist's fourth collaboration with the foundation, blends traditional blues, rhythm & blues, and soul elements. Williams' musical journey is deeply rooted in Henry “Gip” Gibson’s legendary Alabama juke joint, where he honed his craft. The album features 10 tracks, including original tributes to his heritage and a virtuoso cover of “California Dreamin’.” Produced by Jimbo Mathus, the recording captures an authentic sound that bridges the gap between raw, homemade instrumentation and the sophisticated mastery of a veteran bluesman.
