Gun Outfit has unveiled its most extensive project to date, the 80-minute double album Process & Reality, inspired by the philosophy of Alfred North Whitehead. Recorded under extreme conditions during California wildfires, the work marks the collective's transformation from a post-punk duo into a mature quintet of multi-instrumentalists. The album's musical landscape is defined by experimentation and the use of rare instruments such as the sitar and autoharp, creating a meditative and atmospheric tapestry. The sound integrates elements of dub, European jam-band traditions, British folk, and American country, emphasizing intuitive creativity and profound spatial awareness.
