Crow and Gazelle - Truth Be Told (2026) [Hi-Res]

The Texas-based duo Crow and Gazelle, consisting of Oklahoma Red Dirt pioneer Mike McClure and multidisciplinary artist Chrislyn Lawrence, has released their new conceptual album, Truth Be Told. The record's pivotal track, "Fall How It Will," explores the themes of liberating oneself from imposed patriarchal and religious dogmas, as well as the destructive burden of inherited shame and original sin. The album is structured as a cohesive narrative about a man and a woman seeking true intimacy and freedom within a collapsing world. The musical and conceptual foundation of the release draws heavily on the members' background in poetry, community organizing, and trauma healing, reimagining love as a return to inherent self-worth.
