Hossein Behroozinia - Common Echoes (Live) (2026)

Iranian musician and composer Hossein Behroozinia, in collaboration with Music Lab and Toronto-based musicians, has launched a project titled Common Echoes. This initiative revisits and reimagines his earlier compositions by blending the traditional Persian daf drum with Western jazz and classical instrumentation, including clarinet, saxophone, double bass, and piano. The participating Western musicians infused the melodies with improvisation and their own cultural interpretations, generating a unique cross-cultural dialogue that bridges Eastern musical heritage with modern Western sensibilities.
