New Beginning doesn't necessarily represent a new beginning for Allen & Allen, since it's in the same vein as their previous records -- namely, polished contemporary gospel. That's not a complaint, since the duo has fantastic interplay and brings even average songs to life. That's the case throughout New Beginning. While it isn't as consistent as such earlier records as Come Sunday, it nevertheless has more than its fair share of fine songs and is a solid addition to their catalog.
