Originally released in 1996 as a limited-run cassette on the La Musica label, One — the sole album by the enigmatic Japanese project Bibliotheca Hermetica — receives its first-ever vinyl reissue. The work features non-idiomatic free improvisation, noise, and decentralized sonic explorations that blur the boundaries between contemporary classical music and noise. The soundscape is built upon chaotic percussion, scraped strings, winds, and bass tonalities, evoking a dark, foreboding, and spectral atmosphere akin to Taj Mahal Travellers and Nijiumu. This reissue comes in an exclusively designed, high-end physical package.
