Błoto, Ion Din Dorobanti - Atmosfera (2026) [Hi-Res]

In September 2025, the Polish band Błoto underwent a significant transformation by expanding its lineup to include Romanian musician Ion D. This international collaboration resulted in a conceptual album titled Atmosfera, scheduled for release in May 2026 via Astigmatic Records. The record deliberately abandons traditional jazz constraints in favor of a trance-like, electronic sound that incorporates psychedelia, Eastern European folklore, and an extensive use of drum machines.

Structurally, the album is divided into two contrasting acts examining post-capitalist reality. The first side (Napięta Atmosfera) explores themes of systemic oppression, corruption, and social inequality through dark, suffocating instrumental tracks. The second side (Rozluźniona Atmosfera) offers a remedy for toxic daily life, shifting toward brighter, club-driven, and ambient textures that culminate in the theme of reclaiming personal agency and freedom. Musically, the LP blends techno, electro, dark dub, afrobeats, and Romanian manele.
