La Malinche is an historic figure. She was sold into slavery as a kid. Passed around many times. She ended up being offered to Hernan Cortés as a slave and he gave her to one of his generals. She could speak Mexica, Maya and Spanish so Cortés used her as a translator. After proving her worth he decided to reclaim her for himself and make her his lover. Their son is the first mix raced child/person mentioned inthe chronicles of the conquest/genocide of the Americas led from the Spaniards.
From Ushuaia (Argentina) to Utqiagvik (Alaska) we are all indigenous from Turtle Island. We are the same people, no matter who came from where to erase us. WE survived, we are strong and we are here to stay and to reclaim our destiny.
