Shashidhar's album A Foot on the Ground, developed over two years in Los Angeles with producer Pete Min, resulted from setting aside perfectionism in favor of intuitive, collaborative creativity. Throughout the recording process, the artist experimented with unfamiliar instruments and diverse styles to preserve the complexity of her ideas and the inherent musicality of each take. Created without a predefined roadmap, the project involved close friends and new collaborators, including Mark Guiliana and Benny Bock, seamlessly blending distinct musical perspectives into a cohesive, eclectic work.
