The Toronto-based jazz project JabFung has released its second album, "In Real Life," aimed at emphasizing the value of live human interaction in the digital era. Recorded immediately following a tour, the album features Brooklyn-based trumpeter Adam O’Farrill joining the permanent core lineup. The release consists of eight compositions written by the co-leaders, Anthony Fung and Julian Anderson-Bowes. The album showcases a high level of improvisational chemistry among the musicians, while its visual artwork underscores the concept of tension between technological connectivity and human isolation.
