Recorded in October 2024 on the unceded ancestral lands of the Gadigal people in Sydney, the album Even Quiet Embers Carry Fire is a collaboration between Jess Green (guitar), Sandy Evans (saxophone), and Dylan van der Schyff (drums). The release is built upon five long-form improvisational compositions inspired by natural forces, landscapes, and cosmic phenomena. Blending elements of ambient, free jazz, and noise, the musicians masterfully balance silence, resonance, and sonic density. The recording and delicate engineering were handled by the renowned Bob Scott. All three members of the trio are internationally recognized masters of the experimental scene. The album offers listeners music of deep contemplation, restraint, and latent elemental power.
