The songs on Ways of the World were written in the first month or two after sessions ended on my last album in Oct 2024, and after I'd been diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Prostate Cancer. While only a few songs deal with mortality, these act as a foundation for the rest. At the time, I thought that this might be my last album, but I've since gone on to record another one, Midnight at Dawn (TBR Sept 2026), and an album of ten new songs will be recorded in March and released in early 2027. Ways of the World is the third album of a five-album project that began in Aug 2023 when songs started showing up in my sleep and then at all hours of the day and night, more than 30 years after I'd stopped playing and writing.
