Richard Clayderman, the world's most famous pianist, will perform at the Papp László Sports Arena in Budapest on June 5, 2026.
The French piano virtuoso learned to play the piano from his father as a child and was admitted to the conservatory at the age of 12. He wanted to be a classical musician, but he soon turned to contemporary music and even founded a rock band. His big breakthrough came with the song Ballade Pour Adeline, released in 1977. The single sold 22 million copies in 38 countries around the world. He created a new, romantic style that was an undivided success among fans of pop and classical music, and his career quickly took off.
During his decades-long career, he wrote more than 1,400 songs, sold more than 90 million albums, and achieved numerous gold and platinum records. Clayderman continues to play the piano, working and performing. His latest album features impressive covers of hits by Ed Sheeran and Coldplay.
