Driftwood - Maps (2026) [Hi-Res]

The musical duo Driftwood, consisting of Aviva and Nick, has developed their second album, expanding the boundaries of their unique sonic universe. The core of the project remains the musicians' simultaneous performance on multiple instruments, including clarinets, guitars, and two microtonally re-tuned pump organs. In this new work, the live improvisations are augmented with elements from each member's solo practices, such as modular synths, contact microphones, and effects pedals. The integration of electronics and signal processing enriches the compositions with bass undertones, transforming melancholic drones, guitar ostinatos, and cinematic folk-like motifs into otherworldly acoustic landscapes.
